4th of July Oreo Blondies

When any Holiday rolls around, I find that I am always trying to make something unusual that fits with the Holiday. Whether that Holiday is the 4th of July or Christmas or Easter, I try to be different.

After all, who wants the same stuff time after time? I am also positive that there are many versions of this floating around. Choose your favorite one and go wild!

Blondies are similar to brownies, only no chocolate cake. Sometimes, I even need a break from Chocolate.

There should be no problem finding the colored candy pieces, M&Ms usually provide appropriate colors for every holiday.  Those delightful pieces of chocolate combined with the slight caramel flavor of the Blondies, just makes my taste buds scream!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I switch up candies for different Holidays?

You certainly could. You can also add chocolate chips, butterscotch chips or even caramel chips into the batter.

Can I stir in some chocolate oreos?

You definitely can do this. This is one of those recipes that you can make how you want, in other words, put your own signature on it.

            What nuts can I add?

You could certainly add walnuts or pecans.

Do I have to add the sprinkles?

Absolutely not, this is just an idea to make them a little more patriotic looking. I like the way it looks, but you can certainly leave them out entirely or only use half.

Would these work to make a Sundae bar?

This is a yummy idea! A warm blondie topped with a scoop of ice cream and a few more sprinkles of candy. That would be right up my alley.

Could I make these a strawberry flavor?

Another wonderful idea. This is one that I may have to try really soon. I imagine it would taste excellent.
