They are easy to throw together, don't require any cooking, and you can come up with endless combinations of ingredients! One of my new favorite varieties is chocolate almond no bake energy bites.
Chocolate Almond No Bake Energy Bites
I love the combination of coconut and almond - it works very well in this no bake energy bites recipe! They are easy to make and even easier to eat.
Energy bites are a great quick treat that's easy to make (even for kids). This would be a great recipe for kids to play around with. They might create a new family favorite!
What you’ll need:
You’ll need your basic no bake energy bites ingredients – oatmeal, honey & peanut butter. You could substitute almond butter for the peanut butter in this version if you like.
You’ll also need some unsweetened coconut flakes, cocoa powder, almonds, and almond extract.
What to do:
Energy bites are super simple to make – just combine all your ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, giving the ingredients some time to chill. Scoop out and roll into 1-inch bites. That’s it!
Chocolate Almond No Bake Energy Bites Recipe
- 1 cup oats
- ⅓ cup honey
- ½ cup peanut butter or almond butter
- ¾ cup coconut
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup chopped almonds
- ¼ tsp almond extract
- Combine the oats, honey, and peanut butter in a medium sized bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- After the mixture has chilled, scoop into 1" bite-sized pieces and roll into balls.
- Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
