Traveling with Essential Oils

My little bag of essential oils is usually the first thing I pack when we're getting ready to travel - long trips, short trips, overnight trips, even day trips - I make sure the oils are packed! I've replaced many of my usual travel items with my essential oils. Here's what you need when you're traveling with essential oils.

Essential oils are great things to have packed for your travels. Here's a list of things I need and why I take them when I'm traveling with essential oils.

Traveling with Essential Oils

My travel kit of essential oils is our go-to resource for many things when we are on the road. I pack a small bottle of Thieves spray for doorknobs, tables, and any other germ-filled surfaces. There's a small bottle of essential oil hand sanitizer for quick clean up. I have a few small diffusers I like to take - one that plugs into the USB port in our car and a battery-operated travel-sized evaporative diffuser that's nice to run for a few minutes before bed. And, of course, my oils - for digestion issues, jet lag, headaches, etc. - all those travel related issues can benefit  from a little oil.

Here's what I include in my travel kit:

  • Peppermint
  • PanAway
  • Thieves
  • Lavender
  • Deep Relief
  • Stress Away
  • En-R-Gee
  • Peace & Calming
  • Thieves Spray
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Travel Diffuser

Flying with Essential Oils

No need to leave your oils home if you're flying. You can pack them in your luggage or take them in a carry-on. The only rule you need to remember for carry-on purposes is that each bottle must be less than 3.5 oz (most essential oil bottles are much smaller at just 5 or 15 ml) and they must all fit in a quart-sized zip-top plastic bag.
