Wouldn’t it be great to find a biscuit recipe that turns out perfect each and every time you make it? How about if that same recipe was the easiest recipe ever to make biscuits? Guess what people…I have that recipe right here for you! Yes, they are made with 7-up, which helps to make them super light and fluffy!
Everyone has a recipe that they know, they trust and they prefer. This one though, could change their minds very quickly! These have been called the copycat recipe for that chicken franchise.
Those were always the best in my opinion. Then I found this recipe. There are very few ingredients involved so this helps to make them super quick to make.
These are not sweet flavored biscuits. Nor are they meant to be. One note I should mention, if your dough is too sticky, add little amounts of baking mix until you can handle the dough without sticking.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I use all purpose flour instead of a baking mix?
No, this recipe is a completely different form of recipes. You need to use a baking mix, such as Bisquick.
Is it okay to leave the butter out?
I have not tried it. Biscuits need a form of fat. The butter in this recipe adds to the unique flavor.
Can I use a diet version of the soda?
If the flavor of a diet soda works for you, go ahead and try it. I personally do not like the flavor of diet soda.
How do I store these?
These can be kept on the counter in an airtight container. You can also keep them in an airtight container or ziploc bag in your refrigerator.
Can these be frozen?
Yes, after baking, and cooling completely, place them into a freezer safe container, or freezer bag. They will last for up to 3 months in your freezer.
Should I use a floured rolling pin?
You can actually just press the dough down with your hands. This saves time and makes it even less to clean.
