You are probably wondering why refrigerated biscuits, well, I guess I like to sleep also. The prepared biscuits just make it so much easier and quicker to make, especially in the morning.

I would say these are ranking pretty high up in my lists of recipes, almost higher than my Southern style biscuits and gravy. Of course, if you have a favorite biscuit, you can use that in place of my suggestion.

I have been told that mixing chicken with cream cheese and Cheddar and following the recipe with those, tastes scrumptious. I plan to try these that way this weekend. I would think it would be delicious.

Frequently Asked Questions:

            Can I use homemade biscuits?

Certainly, I was just cutting corners in the early mornings. Weekends, I always make buttermilk biscuits for this dish.

Is it okay to use Venison sausage?

I am jealous! I ran out of venison much earlier than planned. If you have venison seasoned for a breakfast sausage, by all means use it!

Can I make this dish for dinner?

There is nothing wrong with breakfast for dinner. Personally, I like the change up once in a while.

            Can I freeze these?

Honestly, I would freeze this separately. Biscuits in a freezer safe bag, and sausage with cheese mix in an airtight container. It will last for 3 months in the freezer.

Can I cut the recipe in half easily?

You sure can! Just use a half amount of each of the ingredients.

Can I store these in the refrigerator?

Yep!, they will sit nicely in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
