Orange Creamsicle Milkshake

When I was younger, I loved when the ice cream truck would come around. I had to get the same thing each time. Orange Creamsicle. Although. At that time, I always called it a dreamsicle

I loved the tangy sweetness of the outer orange and the super creamy vanilla ice cream on the inside. Then I grew up and had not thought of them much until recently.

An ice cream truck came to the neighborhood and I had a sudden flashback of childhood days. I swear they use the same tune in the ice cream trucks now. I bet you think I ran outside!

Surprise, I went to the kitchen. I had to figure out if there was a way to make these tasty treats without running to the ice cream truck with the little kids. I did it guys! I figured out a way to treat ourselves to Orange Creamsicles again!

Frequently Asked Questions:

            Will this taste the same?

My recipe turns it into a milkshake rather than a popsicle. However, all the flavor is still there!

Is this going to be difficult to make?

Absolutely not! It will take a little more than 5 minutes.  Of course, it will need time in the freezer also, but only 30 to 60 minutes.

Could I use fresh oranges instead of juice concentrate?

I am not sure it would be the same then. You would have the chance of seed, the fibrous white pieces and the skin of each segment. The juice concentrate works so much better and is smoother.

            Could I add to it?

You can make variations if you want. I would imagine that Strawberries and cream with the orange would taste absolutely fantastic. You can also top this with a dollop of whipped topping once it freezes, or immediately if you cannot wait.
