This summery style dessert is going to make you a star! It is so simple to make, so delicious to eat and just what strawberry shortcake should taste like.
Of course, as usual, I took a couple of shortcuts that will make it even easier for you to make and take less time. All the flavor that you love about summertime is here.
For this treat, you want large shooter glasses, or some nice dessert cups that are not too big, yet not really small.
This dessert is going to be layered and it is going to need a decent sized shot glass. I always suggest that you use fresh strawberries, they just taste better.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Homemade whipping Cream or Store bought?
Either one will work, however, I prefer homemade.
White cake or Angel Food cake?
I grew up with Angel food cake as part of Strawberry Shortcake. You can use whichever you prefer.
Should I use fresh strawberries and make the sauce?
Fresh is always the best, no doubt about that. If you just cannot make the homemade sauce then go ahead and use the canned strawberry pie filling.
