Taco Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Here is another wonderful idea for Taco Tuesday. This is definitely not a taco, per say. But it is a taco flavored sandwich that everyone will fall in love with. The idea of this sandwich should have been so obvious to me for so long. Yet, it took until I was this age to actually think about this idea.

You can have all your favorite Taco ingredients ready, and as you put this Sandwich into the pan to grill it, layer up all those goodies and then finish grilling.

You are going to be so surprised at how easy, and how tasty this dinner idea is going to be. This sandwich is going to take the doldrums out of the ordinary Taco day.

A little secret here, I have grilled these up until they were done cooking, then set them on a baking sheet and topped with Taco blend cheese. I then place the sheet into the oven and bake just until the cheese is melted.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is it hard to flip the sandwich with all the ingredients on it?

Yes, I cannot lie, it can be difficult to flip. I usually do each half separately and then I can cover the pan with a cover while they grill.

Do I have to add all the ingredients?

No, you only need to add the ingredients that you choose to have. You could actually  make it with just the cheese, taco meat and tomatoes and lettuce if you want.

Can I use a dipping sauce for this sandwich?

You could use salsa, pico de gallo, sour cream or even nacho cheese.
