I brought it back out when my kids were getting a little older where they appreciate food made for them. This recipe kicked butt! They absolutely love it and ask for it all the time now!

            Taco Spaghetti takes less than a half hour to make, it is loaded with creaminess, taco flavor, spaghetti noodles, green chilis and tons of great cheddar cheese! It is no wonder that kids clean their plates when you make this.

The food is incredibly delicious!! In a small way, I kind of combined Mexican night with Italian night, but do not tell the kids that. They will still expect both. With this type of meal you can do that for them!

            Do I have to add the spicy chilis?

Please, if you are not a fan of hot and steamy, please buy the can of mild. Those are not so bad that they burn the tongue. My family loves heat, so I go for the gusto!

            Should I cook the spaghetti ahead of time?

No, you will be adding the uncooked spaghetti to this one pan dish and allowing the noodles to cook in the sauce. Be patient though, this simmering stage is when the noodles soak in all the goodness.

            How do I store this dish?

You mean, if there are any leftovers from dinner? Simply place it into an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

            What is the best way for me to reheat the dish?

I add a little water or a little bit of spaghetti sauce to the dish, place it in the microwave. I remove the dish and stir twice throughout the cooking.

What do you need to make The Best Taco Spaghetti

            8 ounces uncooked Spaghetti noodles

            1 ½ pounds lean ground beef

            1 tbsp olive oil

            1 can fire roasted Rotel, with green chilis

            2 tbsp tomato paste

            1 packet Taco Seasoning mix

            3 cups of water

            1 cup Fiesta Blend or Taco blend shredded cheese

            Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

How to make The Best Taco Spaghetti

FIRST STEP:

Heat the Olive oil in a deep pan on the medium setting on your stove top

Add in the lean ground beef and cook thoroughly, drain any excess fat

SECOND STEP:

Place the tomato paste, the can of Rotel and the dry taco seasoning into the pan.

Stir to combine well

THIRD STEP:

Add in the 3 cups of water

Break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the water.

FOURTH STEP:

Stir to mix well, bring to a quick boil and reduce the heat to simmer

Cover and cook until the Spaghetti is Al dente’ or the way you like it.

FIFTH STEP:

Drain any excess liquid from the pan.

Sprinkle all the cheese on the top, replace the cover and let the cheese melta
