Baked Garlic Parmesan Fries

The world loves fries. All kinds of fries. This recipe is the ultimate in fries. They have that savory flavor, crispy potato, garlicky and awesome cheese. They are oven baked and not fried, which makes them healthier. This is my ideal lunchtime food when I am home alone. I get the garlic I want, the strong parmesan and the whole plate to myself. I am not going to insult the plain oven fried french fries, I absolutely love them! However, when I can season a potato stick the way I want it, that is exactly what I plan to do.

There are many ways that you can season potatoes for oven fried fries. You can use a ranch seasoning, a taco seasoning, dried nacho cheese powder, and any number of sprinkle seasonings. Personally, I love chili cheese fries.

Not the ones with a big scoop of chili, I am talking about the ones that are seasoned with chili powder and salt and sprinkled with cheese. These Parmesan Baked fries are the bomb! Yep, I will choose these over any other seasoned oven fried fries.

These oven fried fries are perfect to eat alone, or you can serve them with hamburgers, sandwiches or hot dogs. You can use ketchup for dipping, or Ranch dressing, or like me, eat them the way they are.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What type of potato works the best for oven fried fries?

I prefer using Russet potatoes or Yukon Gold.

            Are oven fried fries crispy?

If you cut the fries about ¼ inch, they are not as crispy. If you cut them a little smaller or bake them longer they will be crispier.

            Can I use other seasonings?

Of course, whatever flavor delights you is what you should use. I love these Parmesan Garlic, but I also love Cajun, Barbecue, Garlic Herb, plain seasoning salt and as mentioned, chili powder.

Do I need to spray these with cooking oil?

No, you will drizzle them with olive oil in the preparation process. That is all the oil you will need.
