A tiny cracker that is seasoned perfectly, is made quickly and makes a great snack. They are perfect with a hot bowl of Soup or Chili. The best dish to serve these small crackers with, in my opinion, is Lobster Bisque.
The small crackers sitting on top of this delicious soup are unbelievably tasty. However, they will work with any type of Seafood Soup or Seafood dish you feel they would taste good on.
This, too, is one of those recipes that my Mom handed down to me. She has been making and serving these crackers for as long as I can remember.
We are big Clam lovers at our home and in the family, so it is most often one of Mom’s favorite recipes for Oyster Crackers that is served with Clam Chowder.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I keep these fresh?
These should be kept in an airtight container. They are simply seasoned crackers so leaving the crackers on the counter is fine. However, if you prefer, they can also be kept in the refrigerator.
How long do these stay fresh?
That is rather difficult to answer! Ours never last longer than one day. No one in my family keeps them longer than that either. However, since they are baked after seasoning, I would say they will last for up to 5 days.
Are there variations?
There are tons of variations that can be made. My Mom makes Ranch Style, Hot and spicy style, simple salt and vinegar style and these Old Bay styles.
