Shrimp Linguine with Creamy Herb Sauce

This recipe reminds me of when I go out to eat with either my Mom or my Mother in law. If I am with my Mom, she always orders whatever I decide to order. If it is my Mother in law that I am with, I can guarantee that she will order a seafood linguine if it is offered. Understandably, seafood with pasta is one of the best combinations in the world. At least in my opinion.

This is one of those meals that combine sophistication, flavor and ease of making all in one dish. This recipe comes together so fast, yet it seriously looks like a gourmet meal.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I serve this as a single dish?

This does make a meal in itself. However, you could also serve it with a side of creamed peas, a nice dinner salad or a serving of crusty bread.

Can this dish be stored in the refrigerator or freezer?

Leftovers can be kept in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. If you want to freeze the leftovers, cover it tightly with plastic wrap, then a layer of foil and then a tightly closing cover. It will remain good for up to a month.

Can I use a different type of seafood?

I would think that scallops, or lobster or even crab would taste wonderful in this recipe.

Tips:

Once you taste this dish, you may never go out for seafood again. You will see how elegant and tasty this dish is. You can tweak it to suit your tastes, add a different seafood or change the pasta. Although it is a linguine dish, other pastas will work just as well. Angel hair pasta will allow you to have more of the seafood flavor.

I say, go ahead and invite your Mom and Mother in law over for dinner, this is a dish they will both love immensely. The problem may lie in the fact that they will want to eat at your house all the time.
