Ahhh, the smell of fresh bakery goods, apples and cinnamon. Delightful! The thought actually makes my stomach rumble. My mouth is salivating thinking of warm and soft apple fritters with a crispy sugar glaze. Years ago, I had a friend who owned a bakery. I always wondered how she and her husband stayed so in shape. Man, I would blow up like a balloon just working at a bakery.
Apple fritters make a perfect breakfast in my opinion. Along with a cup of strong, black coffee, there is nothing better.
What if I told you that you could have an apple fritter in a cake? Yes! A whole cake!!
It is a good thing that I like apples, because I could make this all the time and still not get enough. You will feel the same way once you try this super easy recipe.

The apple fritter cake freezes wonderfully. You should wrap it in plastic wrap and then 2 layers of foil. You can also keep it in an airtight container and in the freezer.
