This is definitely not your ordinary Olive dip. We have taken this Olive dip to the next level of deliciousness. You may be tempted to leave out some of the spices, but I do not recommend that.
All the ingredients combine to make this an Olive dip you will remember. Using both green and black olives gives this dip a deeper flavor that is more complex and actually savory.
This dip is so good that you may want to double the recipe immediately. Be sure to stock up on vegetables, chips and crackers so that you have enough to use the dip with.
I have also found that using sliced baguette bread that has been toasted.

We have used Ritz, Triscuits and Vegetable flavored crackers. As noted though, this dip is also phenomenal when spread on toasted baguette bread.
Is there a vegetable that tastes better than others with this dip?
In our home it is always carrots, celery, cauliflower and broccoli that we use. You are welcome to try out your favorites to find which you prefer the most.
What kind of cheese should I use in this dip?
We do enjoy this with a Sharp Cheddar Cheese, however, you are able to use a Mexican blend, Pepper Jack or Monterey Jack.
What do you need to make Baked Cheesy Olive Dip
1 cup black olives, chopped roughly
1 cup green olives, chopped roughly
8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup mayonnaise
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated or shredded
Green onions, freshly chopped (if desired)
Crackers and vegetables for dipping
How to make Baked Cheesy Olive Dip
FIRST STEP:
Preheat the oven to 350*
In a bowl combine the Softened cream cheese and the mayonnaise until smooth
Stir in the onion powder and the garlic powder
Season with Salt and pepper
Add in the green olives, the black olives and ½ cup Cheddar Cheese
SECOND STEP:
Transfer into an 8×8 baking dish
Top with the remaining cheese
THIRD STEP:
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until bubbly
