Caramel Pecan Turtle Fudge

One of my favorite food groups is FUDGE! This is tied for number one on that list. Who am I kidding? All fudge flavors are tied for first place! That is just how much I love me some fudge! Like I said, there are so many flavor varieties, it would be difficult to choose just one. Fudge is world renown as a treat. It is a holiday special in many areas. Along with the flavor varieties, there are also a few different ways to make fudge.

This recipe here, you can thank me for later. This will put a complete spin on what you have known about making fudge. This is so sweet, decadent and insanely delicious.

You will never have to spend that huge amount picking up fudge from those candy shops. You know the ones that charge an exorbitant amount for one pound of fudge?

Get ready for this, you may need to sit down when you realize how freaking easy this is.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I make it all in the microwave?

I recommend just melting the caramels in the microwave. Put the rest into a saucepan and melt it on the stove top.

            Can I use dark chocolate?

Yes you can! Dark chocolate is supposed to be a healthier version right?!

            Can I use walnuts?

You certainly can, however, the classic Turtle Candy is known for its pecans.

Could I use white chocolate for one of the layers?

You can, that will add an extra step to the process. Like I said, there are so many varieties of fudge, it is ridiculous.

How do I store this fudge?

If you place the fudge into an airtight container it can last for two to three weeks, if you set it on the counter in an airtight container, the fudge will last for one to two weeks.
