Egg rolls are really a popular food item. They taste great, you can carry them with you and eat on the go and actually pretty simple to make. So why not make other types of egg rolls. You know, with everyday foods we eat. Those are the types of things that run through my mind, ALL THE TIME!! Most of the time it turns out really good. Other times, I become fixated until it does turn out the way I want it to.
That is an example of this recipe. I struggled for a bit when trying to put this together. Once I realized what I was doing, I felt foolish.
These are so simple to make, I can not believe how stumped I was at first.
Today, my dear friends, I bring you an American classic but with a Chinese flair! Welcome to the world of cheeseburger roll ups.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Should I use Spring roll wrappers?
A spring roll wrapper would be too thin for this recipe. Use an egg roll or wonton wrapper. They hold up better.
Can I substitute another meat?
You could use ground turkey, ground chicken or even sausage in place of the hamburger meat.
Can I add pickles?
I would suggest using pickle relish. It seems to be easier to fold the wrappers when needed.
Can I make these in the Air Fryer?
I have not tried this yet, so I do not know how they will turn out. I imagine that you can use it. I would set the temperature at 360*, and cook for 10 minutes. Check how they are doing every couple of minutes. They may not need the full 10 minutes.
