There is no reason to tote a whole pie to parties, One pie likely would not be enough anyway. So here is a fantabulous idea. When you have a potluck, a picnic or a party coming up, make a batch or two of pecan pie balls.
The same taste as a slice of pie, only in a smaller amount. These little pie balls are adorable and delicious! Heck, these will even be great for your holiday treat tray!
This recipe is for another no bake treat. I keep telling you guys that I love to have recipes like this. The only differences between these and actual pecan pie?
These are covered in a chocolate coating and are easily carried around with you. I absolutely love these and so will you!
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do these taste like Pecan Pie?
These absolutely do! They do have a chocolate covering on them that makes a slight difference. Rather than a regular pie crust, this recipe has graham crackers.
Can I add bourbon for an adult party?
As you are mixing up the ingredients you could add a tsp or more to give the pecan pie balls a taste of bourbon. Just be sure the kids do not taste them.
How do I store these?
They can sit in the refrigerator in a zippered bag for up to a month. In the freezer they can be stored for three months. Just be sure that it is an airtight container they are in.
