Cheesecake Brownies With Fresh Cherries

A treat of a super fudge brownie, combined with cheesecake and cherries! What is not to love about this? Chocolate and cherries go together like Laurel and Hardy, Rick and Forty, coffee and cream. This is not a recipe you want to avoid making. Sure it has calories, but the flavor far outweighs the fact.

Happiness for me, as well as millions of others, begins with chocolate and cherries. I remember being a kid and my mom would bring in the first cherries of the season. Man, I was so ecstatic, I sat and ate all the cherries I could handle.

Now that I am an adult, I have found a company that delivers the freshest cherries that I could dream of. They are super juicy, delectable bites of heaven.  Cherry season is one of my favorites, actually all fruit seasons are my favorite.

This one, yes this cherry season though, I knew it had to be something super special this year. After all, the best cherries that money can buy, and of course, mix in some chocolate for the chocoholic, (that is me) and then some cheesecake combined with all that? I am nowhere near the earthly plains once this recipe is made.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I use jarred cherries?

You could, or use the canned variety. I am telling you though, that fresh cherries are the way to go in this recipe! Even if you use pie filling, all you will use is the cherries themselves.

Can I switch the pie filling?

Yes, you can switch out the canned pie filling for something you prefer. I will stick with cherries.

The batter is too thick to spread on top?

Luckily, the batter does not need to be on top. You will use a butter knife to swirl the two batters together.
