This is another one of my favorite no bake desserts. For me, this is a pan of Heaven! Cherries are my all time favorite fruit and y’all know how I feel about cheesecake.
This great little treat is going to use golden oreos as a crust, a yummy latter of cheesecake, then topped with sweet cherry pie filling and a layer of whipped topping and chopped nuts. Who could ask for more.
I can just imagine sitting here slowly enjoying each bite of this luscious dessert! The dinner table will be fun with the kids cracking jokes with my hubby, and I will be oblivious to all that they are saying. I will be sitting in Heaven enjoying Cherry Cheesecake Lush.
This dessert would work well for an afternoon pick me up, a special treat to bring to work, a dessert for a special event or just an everyday dessert.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I leave the nuts off?
Of course! There are nut allergies out in the world, who am I to force anyone to eat nuts? I have a child with nut allergies also, I leave at least half of the dessert plain with no nuts. No, he does not get the whole half, it is just to ensure that no nuts get close to what he does get to eat.
Can I use raspberries instead?
Raspberries would make a fine substitution here, it would be utterly delicious.
Could I use a different type of crust?
Certainly! Graham cracker would be good, nilla wafers or even chocolate oreos would taste great.
