Frequently Asked Questions:

Should I use the instant version of the pudding or the cooking version?

You can use whichever one makes this work out easier for you. I have used both at different times, there really is no taste difference.

Which type of crust is best?

If you are asking my preference, I would always lean towards a graham cracker crust. However, this pie is one I prefer to have a classic pastry type pie crust.

Can I add fruit or chocolate chips to the pudding?

You certainly could. Of course, the fruit would need to be drained well first. If not, you could end up with a mess of a pie.

How do I store this pie?

This pie does need to be refrigerated. The dairy in the pudding and the whipped topping mean cold. Besides, a Chocolate Cream Pie always tastes better cold.
