CopyCat Coleslaw from KFC

Everyone knows that the coleslaw from KFC is like the best coleslaw ever! I am ecstatic when the family wants to have chicken from there. However, after many tries, and much taste testing, I have found a recipe that is almost perfect coleslaw like KFC.  There was always one ingredient that I could not figure out what it was. I do believe I found it, if not it still tastes perfect!

Coleslaw is the perfect side dish for any summertime meal or picnic, potluck or party. It is so quick to make, it is actually pretty healthy and it does taste delicious. You can make this recipe the day before you need it, or the same day. Either way it is going to always taste fabulous. This coleslaw has a sweet, yet tangy dressing.

I can not recall even a single time that I have had to bring leftover coleslaw home from a picnic or potluck. The flavor is just that good! This is actually the recipe you may want to double to ensure that you have some when you get back home. I also can not think of a main course that would not taste good alongside a big bowl of coleslaw.

Cabbage is a vegetable that is packed with nutrition, helps with digestion, helps with inflammation and may also help with high cholesterol, lower your blood pressure and help keep your heart healthy. Cabbage comes in different colors, with purple and green being the most common. It is lower in calories and can be made in a wide variety of ways. Purple cabbage can also help to strengthen your bones. Cabbage is also very high in fiber content, which is mandatory in a healthy diet.  You could make this even healthier by using vinegar instead of a creamy dressing.
