Taco Dorito Salad

Taco Tuesday may never be the same. Actually, I have to be honest. I have been very lazy when it comes to cooking. I am known for recipes, I am known to make these same recipes easy to make for everyone.

I have been doing my taco salads in an unconventional way for quite some time. Same as my homemade nachos. I have found a way to cut the amount of time it takes to make a delicious meal.

We love Mexican around our home. So if I can change up a recipe in a way that makes it easier to serve what I consider a healthy meal, then I do so. This seemed like an obvious tweak to the recipe.

This recipe has all the great flavors of a taco salad. Plus it has a special zing added to it, in the form of the dressing.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is this eaten hot or cold?

The day you make this taco salad, you have the hot taco flavored ground beef, the cold lettuce and cold tomatoes, this makes a perfect combination. Of course, if you are eating it the next day, it tastes awesome when it is all cold.

How long can I store this in the refrigerator?

As long as you serve the chips on the side and not mixed in with the salad, this will stay good in the refrigerator for 5 days, when stored in an airtight container.

What do I serve with taco salad?

This taco salad is a meal all by itself, but it can also be served with refried beans, quesadillas or even fried ice cream.

Do I have to combine all the ingredients?

You could actually place the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and chips on the side in bowls

Can I use salsa instead of the dressings?

You can do that, salsa is an excellent ingredient to add to this. The ranch and Italian dressing mixed together makes an incredibly delicious taste with this salad.
