            ½ gallon milk

            1 cup white sugar

            3 large eggs, lightly beaten

            ¼ cup milk

            2 tsp vanilla extract

            Pinch of salt

FIRST STEP:

In a medium sized saucepan, add the ½ gallon of milk, rice and the sugar

Simmer, covered for 1 hour, stirring often

SECOND STEP:

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes

Combine the milk, the eggs, salt and vanilla
