Mini Cheeseballs

The Holidays and all the parties are coming up quickly. It is time to gather your recipes together for appetizers, Main Courses and even desserts.

Today is a fun appetizer to make, tasty to eat and you can even get the kids involved. Everyone loves cheese, which is what makes this a perfect recipe to bring to parties and meetings or even family gatherings.

You can change up this recipe quite easily and make it sweet or savory. A few different added ingredients and the flavor is there.

This means that these will go great with virtually anything you serve.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I make these sweet?

Simply add a slight amount of sugar to the mix, some flavoring extract and maybe candy pieces. There are a plethora of ideas. What you think you can do is more than possible.

What do I use to make these savory?

Again, herbs, spices, bacon bits, such as this recipe. Use miniature breadsticks instead of the pretzel sticks. You can mix the cheese with dry powder flavorings, such as ranch, french onion, chili or a wide variety of others.

            How do I store these?

These will need to be kept in an airtight container until right before serving. They are made with cheese, so heed the needs of the dairy. One item to make note of, before storing these mini cheese balls, remove the miniature breadstick or pretzel stick before covering the container. The pretzel stick or the breadstick can become soggy when left in the cheese. These will be good for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Should I use real bacon or artificial bacon bits?

Real bacon is my choice for these. However, you do not want to use thick cut bacon for the covering of the cheeseballs. This would be slightly overwhelming in flavor.
