The common methods of making sweet potatoes have gone by the wayside in my home. These are actually so easy to prepare, and even easier to eat. I remember growing up and we would complain whenever sweet potatoes were made for dinner.

If they would have been this tasty instead of so bland, I believe we would have eaten them much more often. When these are made simply as is, they are delicious. However, when you add garlic and a broth, you are creating a whole new level of deliciousness!

            How do I store these?

Once dinner is done, if you have any of these left, wrap them and hide them! Just kidding! Once they have cooled off completely, place them into an airtight container and then into the refrigerator.They will last for up to 4 days.

            Can I freeze these potatoes?

Certainly! The same routine holds true for freezing. Wrap them tightly in an airtight container and set into the freezer. They will last for 3 months.

            Could I melt marshmallows on top of these?

Of course, however, that may make them more of a dessert than a side for dinner.

            4 large Sweet Potatoes, cleaned and cut lengthwise, and then each length cut in half

            Olive Oil

            Salt

            Dried Thyme

How to make This World Sweet Potatoes

FIRST STEP:

Wash the sweet potatoes and cut as directed

SECOND STEP:

Preheat the oven to 400*

Cover a baking tray with a sheet of parchment paper

Drizzle the Olive Oil over the sliced and cut potatoes in a bowl

THIRD STEP:

Sprinkle with salt and dried Thyme

Place the potatoes cut side down on the tray

Bake for 40 minutes or until the potato bottoms are caramelized
