Perfect Prime Rib Every time

Prime Rib is something very expensive, so one surely doesn’t want to spoil its taste in any way. People may get scared for not preparing it in order to ignore the chances of such a huge loss as what if the recipe goes wrong or something. But the thing which is exciting about this dish is that it’s all simple to cook. This is the recipe to go with, and also the best way to prepare the boneless or bone-in Prime Rib. This recipe will surely add the perfect addition to your dish. So, let’s start here with the basics of preparing the Prime Rib.

About the price:

Prime Rib is surely something which is expensive but if you will look at all the other options for the dinner then this surely seems cheaper rather than taking all to the restaurant. Also, it is so delicious that it is worth that cost. The general cost of the Rib is found to be between $10.99 to $11.99 at many grocery shops. The shop which l have found for me is Costco, it serves the best quality of the Rib with the cheaper cost and utmost assurance of the taste.

How much do you need?

Prime Rib is actually one you have to look for properly before leaving to buy it at the grocery shop. This is referred to as the  standing rib roast too. However, it is well known that the Prime Rib is something expensive, so let’s buy it with the proper care so that it doesn’t get wasted in any way. You can say to your butcher about how much pound of Prime Rib you want. Prime Rib is something which is the cut of the meat that is taken from the upper section of the rib of a cow.

The best strategy to keep while buying the Prime Rib is to buy one pound per person. The bone- in standing rib takes to feed 2 people with a single bone. You can also decide the quantity of prime rib keeping the quantity of other side dishes which you are going to keep for dinner for yourself. If you are already on the plan of having the heavy meal for the longer holiday, then you might go with the ½ to ¾ pound of Prime Rib. Just remember not to waste the Prime Rib because even if you end up preparing it tastier, you will surely forget the taste of Prime Rib if your money goes to waste!!

Bone-in or Boneless Prime Rib:

You can try anything for your meal, no matter if it is boneless prime rib or bone-in Prime Rib. Many chefs will say that it is good to buy the bone-in Prime Rib because it gets cooked easily and also adds on more flavor. I also buy the bone-in Prime Rib, but l have tried the boneless prime rib too and believe me it is completely hard for me to tell the difference between the both.

If you are going to buy the bone-in Prime Rib, then just tell your butcher to cut the bone-off. If you are buying the Boneless Prime Rib then you need to settle it at the instant rack.

 Cook time and temperature:

The duration of actual cooking time for your prime Rib depends on how rare you want the meal.

You can start with the temperature of 500 °F and then can go on decreasing it till the 325 °F and can cook it for 10-12 min for rare rib, 13-14 for medium rare rib or 14-15 min for rare medium well rib.

You should roast it until the temperature goes like:

115 to 120 °F for rare

125-130 °F for medium rare

135-140 °F for medium

145-150 °F for the medium well.

Remember not to overcook. As it comes out of the oven, it will automatically be heated for 5-10 minutes.

Tips for Perfect Prime Rib:

The best way to prepare the perfect Prime Rib is: Use a meat thermometer to cook it in a better way. This will let you know the temperature of the prime rib properly, and you can cook it until you want in order to get the desired taste.

Don’t overcook it as it will damage the taste.
