Cheesy potatoes are the bomb! When you mix them with Ranch and bacon they are explosive! These are the ones that will be requested constantly. Loaded with all the flavors you love plus more.

This dish is super easy to make and the slow cooker will do its work all day while you go do what you have to do. These potatoes make the perfect side dish for any dinner.

There are some tips you might want to implement as you prepare this dish. These include using foil, spraying the inside of the slow cooker and ensuring that you cut all ingredients equally.

Meaning, the potatoes especially. If you can keep them uniform in size they all cook equally.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I have to use the foil?

No, I have never used it, but I make sure to mention it for those who would like easier cleanup.

Can I make this dish on the stove top or the regular oven?

Yes, Definitely! This is listed with the slow cooker meals for those that do not have the time to cook them on the stove top or in the oven.

Which potatoes are the best to use for this dish?

I prefer to use Red potatoes for this one. Since they are a thinner potato they will soak up the flavors better than russets. However, you can use Yukon Gold or the Russets if you prefer their flavor.

How do I store this dish?

You can put these into an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.

            Can I freeze this dish?

These do not freeze well due to the cheese. Dairy separates when thawing.

            How do I reheat these?

Scoop out a serving size, place on a plate and microwave on 30 second intervals until hot.

Notes

I have turned this into a complete meal for my family by adding cubed ham pieces. The flavor combination is perfect. You could also try this with hamburger or shredded chicken.

Also, I have added 1 cup of milk and ½ tbsp of cornstarch to this dish to make it creamier and more liquid remained. This tasted fabulous to us!
