Chewy Snickerdoodle Bars

We all know that wonderful cookie that is made around the Holidays, it has just a slight tang to it, yet it is covered in a Cinnamon and sugar topping. I remember how good the house smelled when we made these over the Holidays when I was growing up.

As I got older, I had to ask why these cookies were only for around the Holidays.

The Snickerdoodle is a simple cookie, it is not decorated for any Holiday, no special colored sugar or colored candies, just a simple sugar type cookie that is not a sugar cookie.

It is time to enjoy these cookies again, but make them into bars by following this recipe. This is one of those recipes that should be enjoyed all year long!

Frequently Asked Questions:

            Are these difficult to make?

These Snickerdoodle bars are not difficult to make, they are not time consuming, BUT they are delicious.

How do I store these bars?

These Snickerdoodle Bars can be kept in an airtight container, which will help them stay fresh for up to 4 or 5 days. If the bars are kept in the refrigerator, they will stay fresh a day or two longer, just be sure to keep them covered.

What makes this a special recipe?

It is not so much the recipe, it is how the Snickerdoodle Bars are made. Rather than one cookie at a time, we put the dough into a baking pan and bake it all at once.
