Yes, the Holidays are almost here. That means it is time to get your list of treats ready that you want to bake. This year, I am doing some classics and also throwing in some new treats.
You know, when you stick to all of the same things every year, it gets tedious to do the baking and you find that people are bored of the same types of cookies all the time.
I like to mix things up and create a variety, not just for my family and friends but also to give out little gifts to postal workers, delivery people, repair men or women or whoever else comes to the door.
These cookies are a great change of pace. They do taste similar to an ordinary sugar cookie, but with added ingredients to make these stand out above others.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I use a sugar cookie dough and just add the M&Ms?
You could, however then all you have is a sugar cookie with M&Ms in it. These cookies have more flavor than the classic melt in your mouth sugar cookie. Don’t get me wrong, the cookies will work out that way, but will not taste the same.
How do I store these cookies?
They can be kept in an airtight container on the counter for up to 5 days. They could also be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for five days.
Could I add chocolate chips to these?
Certainly! You could also add sprinkles if you would like. Maybe some chopped nuts would be a great addition too!
