Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps

         All these diet fads make it difficult to eat your favorite foods. This is the recipe you need when you absolutely live for cheeseburgers. We eliminated most of the carbohydrates by taking away the bun. Who does not love a grilled burger with cheese? Then you add in all the toppings you love such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles.

            The thing is guys, I had actually made this recipe quite some time ago, however, I had completely forgotten about it until I went through all the pictures on my camera roll. I apologize! You guys have missed out on a fabulous tasting dish.

            You want to be sure that you also grill the tortilla for this to get the full flavor.

This is simple enough to do this, heat the grill to 350* roll the tortilla up and place it across the grill rack. Give it a few minutes to get the grill marks, then turn it ¼ turn and do it again.

            Can I lower the carbs more?

You can use low carb tortillas when you make this recipe. Also you can take out the cheese.

            Can I use meat other than ground beef?

You could use ground chuck, sausage, turkey, chicken, Please, whatever meat is your favorite use it.

            Can I make this ahead of time?

This is a great meal to make ahead. It is perfect if you want to make a freezer kit. By this I mean, grill the meat, cool it off and wrap it in plastic wrap and foil. Then place it into a freezer bag. The remaining ingredients can be placed into a baggie and kept in the fridge also.

            Can I make these for a picnic?

These would be ideal to take along on a picnic. You could make them complete for the most part, and then reheat on a low grill setting when ready to eat.

What do you need to make Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps:

            2 tbsp Ketchup

            1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

            1 pound ground beef

            1 tsp minced onion, dried

            Salt and pepper to taste

            5 large tortillas, 10 to 12 inches

            Lettuce

            Cheese (shredded or sliced American)

            Tomato slices

            mustard

How to make Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps:

FIRST STEP:

Crumble and brown the ground beef in a skillet, drain the grease from the pan

Add Worcestershire Sauce, ketchup, salt and pepper and minced onion to the ground beef

SECOND STEP:

After you grill the tortillas, unroll them and place a strip of cheese down the center of each tortilla

Add a couple heaping spoonfuls of ground beef mix on top of the cheese

THIRD STEP:

Drizzle some mustard on the ground beef

Add a couple slices of tomato

Roll the tortilla up, burrito style

FOURTH STEP:

Place each rolled up tortilla onto the grill to heat up the tortilla, turning a half turn every minute

Flip and grill the other side the same way

FIFTH STEP:

When ready to serve, carefully remove the tortilla from the grill, carefully unroll and add some shredded lettuce.

Roll the tortilla backup and enjoy.
