The Pumpkin Cake That Is Better Than Sex

You would think there could be a better name for this cake than what it is! Like maybe a more appropriate version. Not that I really care, there is nothing that is much better than watching Sam Elliott. However, this cake, yes, this cake is right there along with that hunky specimen of a man. There are hundreds of variations for the cake that is better than sex. I have said it before, when each of us makes a tiny change to a recipe, that makes it another variation.

This cake does have a few of my special twists made into it. I guess this could be called my variation on the sex cake. What is this cake you ask? Well, it usually is a chocolate flavored cake, poked with holes that are filled with sweetened condensed milk.

Then it is topped with toffee bits and whipping cream. I have also made the recipe very easy for those of us who have no time in the kitchen daily. With my version, you do not need to make the cake according to the package directions. All you will do is add the puree to the dry cake mix. It cannot get any easier than that.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I store this cake?

This cake should be covered and kept in the refrigerator. The filling will make the cake soggy over time, so it is best eaten as quickly as possible.

            Can I freeze this cake?

I would not suggest freezing it. You could make the pumpkin cake part, but leave the rest off until you are ready to eat.

How do I make this lighter in calories and fat?

Instead of using oil and eggs, you can substitute pumpkin pie filling.

Can I use a different flavor cake?

I have seen where people have used a white cake mix and then added spices to the batter, along with the pumpkin puree. If you do not want pumpkin, then the variations are wide open. You can mix any cake with any filling, or puree.
